The song “Luck Be a Lady” was written in 1950 by the prolific songwriter Frank Loesser (who also wrote such classic tunes as “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”, “Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition”, and “On a Slow Boat to China”)
The song “Luck Be a Lady, Tonight” was featured in the Broadway musical Guy and Dolls. In the movie version of Guys and Dolls, the song was sung by none other than Marlon Brando.
